Our story
Two Neapolitans, one idea of what Italian food should taste like.
Ragù Italian Bistro is a Neapolitan restaurant at 5–7 Guildhall Street in Preston city centre, serving authentic Italian food — pizza, pasta, antipasti and more — cooked the way it's made in Naples. It opened on 15 March 2026, brought to Preston by Vincenzo Gaglione and Luca Scognamiglio — both from Naples, both tired of "Italian" restaurants that aren't. The two of them run it side by side, kitchen and floor, cooking the way they learned it at home. Between them, the whole idea comes down to three words: consistency, quality, community. Ragù is open every day, with a Food Standards Agency hygiene rating of Very Good.
Preston noticed. The Lancashire Post covered the opening, and Blog Preston came back a few weeks later for a full review — the smoked salmon fettuccine and the carbonara came in for particular praise. You'll find both on the à la carte menu below.
